4/4/24 update.  Welcome again SUNNY to the rescue! As she just came in to the facility, she needs time to decompress but her sunny personality came thru in the short time I spent with her. This 85 pound incredibly sweet gentle giant finds herself in need of a new home. SUNNY loves attention, pets and kisses, likes to snuggle in beds too small for her and carries around small pieces of her blanket for comfort. She is an energetic highly intelligent dober gal and would do best in an active household . She likes the beach and is your typical Velcro Dobie and likes to be with her people at all times. She is house and crate trained, walks well on leash. SUNNY needs to be only dog. No cats or young children for this beauty. She’s going to make a great addition to one lucky family.

10/12/23. Sunny is a 5 year old, female Doberman. She's large for a female at 85 lbs, she is very tall as well, at her most recent vet visit she was complimented at the perfect weight compared to her height, she isn't overweight.  Sunny has always been a bright light with her unconditional love and positivity, she lights up every room she walks into, which is how she got her name. Her loyalty is unmatched and she is a constant big ball of energy.  She loves attention, pets, and kisses, but cuddling is not something she has seemed to grasp well as she just gets too excited whenever she receives attention and she doesn't realize just how big she is. She loves to curl up in dog beds that are too small for her, even when presented with extra large dog beds and she uses her small blankets as pacifiers to help calm herself. She is fully house trained and crate trained, she can walk well on a leash.  She's had obedience training and knows basic commands.
Sunny's constant high energy and need for attention requires a very understanding and dedicated owner and household.  She does show food and water possession towards other dogs. (SHE NEEDS TO BE ONLY DOG HOUSEHOLD ).
Sunny was attacked at a kennel earlier in 2023, the kennel owner advised that another dog bit her ear through a chain linked fence, and Sunny was not at fault in the attack.  Her injury healed well, but she is missing some skin from her right ear.  She would make a great addition to a household who is active and understands how highly intelligent she is. She's also a gentle giant.
